The dictionary says an entrepreneur is "a person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit."
Are you living in HOPE?
Hope that someone will invest in you and your idea...
Hope that you will get the clients you need?
Hope your book will get published, your YouTube channel will take off, your database will grow...?
Hope is not enough.
Wishing and dreaming is not enough.
Coming up with ideas is the easy part...making them happen, converting them into reality is hard.
So pull on your big girl pants, roll up your sleeves and get to work.
Because I have news for you...no one is going to do it for you.
And worse, if you don't take action and put the effort in to be the entrepreneur you say you are, no one is going to believe you or trust you either.
The saying goes "actions speak louder than words"...
You may worry about the judgement by others of your ideas, but it's nothing like the judgement that really goes on.
People judge you by your results. They look for signs of success.
And that isn't just the car you drive and your postcode. Everyone knows about debt.
And it's not based on how many followers you have either.
Fakers only fool the losers.
Other entrepreneurs who are doing the work know what success really looks like, they know the blood, sweat and tears it takes to get there. They look for the real signs of success.
The way you conduct yourself and the people you surround yourself with.
The actual number of people you are helping and the results they are getting.
The impact you are having on the World around you and the change you are leading.
They way people talk about you, endorsements, awards, media and referrals from 3rd parties.
So what are you DOING today to turn your dreams, ideas and plans into reality?
Here are 3 action steps you can take right now to REALLY become the entrepreneur you say you are:
1) Overcome Fear
Fear may be stopping you from taking action, applying yourself to put in the proper effort, because your mind is sabotaging you.
Gary Vee said "you are not a perfectionist, you are just scared shitless!"
There is no such thing as perfect. It's ok to be scared!
It's Ok to not know what to do, it's Ok to ask for help.
It's not ok to let fear of failure hold you back and to stop you from sharing your greatness to help others.
Get a mindset coach, listen to motivational podcasts, read mindset books, do yoga, meditation EFT...whatever it takes to face fear and do it anyway.
Stop worrying and start working.

2) Be Realistic
Ideas are awesome and the entrepreneurial brain is so incredibly good at coming up with them!
That's what I love about you and your brain, and that you have decided to be an entrepreneur.
T.S Elliot said "Between the idea and reality lies the shadow" and he was right.
It's a dark place you need to go to in order to work out how to put your ideas into action. You may not know how to do it, who to work with or what to do...but guess what....
There is another totally awesome thing about being an entrepreneur...
You are your own boss, and guess what... you have complete control over what you do with your time?
Seriously, there is no excuse. You can't say "but I am sooo busy, I can't possibly get it done".
You decide what time you get up, how many appointments you have, how long you spend on social media or watching TV. You decide how much you are going to invest into making your idea reality.
You make the rules.
Yes you have the same 24 hours as everyone else. But you can be flexible. You can work all night on something if you really want to.
Be realistic though, this isn't about forsaking health and happiness, it's about dedicating your time and being accountable.
Start scheduling exactly when you will work on your ideas, block out your diary, spend less time on things that distract you, get a mentor or join a mastermind to keep you on track.
You are your own boss, you can control what you do with your time!
3) Build A Brand
When you have purpose driving you, you wake up pumped to get things done.
Having a clearly defined personal brand goes a long way to reinforcing your success.
A brand instantly communicates why you are so passionate about what you do. It's gives your ideas meaning and enables others to see what you see, to believe in you.
Gary Vaynerchuk said "When you build a brand, you don't have to sell. It comes to you."
You know that converting your idea into reality is hard, and you know you are going to need help.
You also know that in order to be a successful entrepreneur, you are going to have to help others get results.
No-one will buy what you are selling, but everyone will love how you change their lives.
Brand always beats sales. It connects on an emotional level, engaging and connecting with your ideal customer who absorb your idea like a virus, sharing it with others.
If you really want that entrepreneurial evidence, that following, database, sales, impact and influence, first you are going to have to explain to the World, why they should care.
Your personal brand is your greatest asset as an entrepreneur.
No one can copy your DNA, no-one can take it from you (if you protect your IP) and no-one can create that emotional connection and passion for your idea like you can.
And you can create ienumerable streams of income once you are clear on your brand.
Believe in you.
When Edison struggled to turn his idea for a lightbulb into reality, he said he didn't fail. He just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
Build your brand, be laser focused, create valuable assets and give a shit about what you are doing. It will drive you to accomplish even more than you think you can.
