About
Saurabh Arora, widely known as Sab, is the founder of Eminence Finance Group (EFG), a company dedicated to revolutionising the mortgage experience through rapid customer service and an unwavering commitment to client care. Before establishing EFG, Sab was a top-performing mobile lender with ANZ.
Sab's journey in banking began in India in 2007. He moved to Australia in 2016, starting his career from a basic level despite having been a branch manager in India. His previous 7-8 years of experience, coupled with an adaptive nature, allowed him to rapidly progress. After three years in the initial broking phase and gaining permanent residency in 2018, he received a "purely random call" from ANZ in 2019.

This unexpected opportunity led him to become the #1 mobile lender in the country within two and a half years.
Despite this significant achievement, Sab initially hesitated to start his own business. He admitted to being a little scared but the confidence gained from his top position at ANZ ultimately propelled him to establish EFG. Sab views his business as his "baby," emphasising the importance of converting experience into something special rather than solely relying on someone else's business. He aims to foster a corporate environment within EFG, mentoring and teaching his team to achieve their own professional successes.
Sab's approach to mortgage broking is distinguished by his proactive customer service and his commitment to understanding each client's long-term objectives rather than just focusing on interest rates. He believes in transparency and will honestly tell clients if he is not the right broker for their rate-sensitive needs, prioritising long-term relationships and referrals over short-term gains. This client-first ethos and a relentless drive to reduce waiting times are core to his business model.

Outcome
Leveraging awards has significantly propelled Eminence Finance Group's growth and enhanced its reputation. Sab reports that his haul of achievements including a vast number of trophies that are quickly filling up his office definitely boosts his confidence, affirming that his work is legitimate and that awards have been a win-win situation for both EFG and its clients.
The impact of the awards has resulted in increased client confidence and security. Sab noted that after receiving an award, approximately ten clients spontaneously called to offer congratulations, demonstrating their engagement and trust in his services.
Clients have also expressed feeling secure that they’re with the right mortgage broker because of the awards he is winning. They are third-party endorsement, meaning somebody else is checking on his work that he's doing the right thing.
Awards have also helped EFG require clients, with some individuals who had previously left EFG for various reasons returning after seeing the award wins shared on LinkedIn and Facebook.

These clients are seeking his expertise again, enabling Sab to provide tailored solutions for building property profiles, increasing borrowing capacity, securing better interest rates, along with other financial strategies.

Awards have also played a crucial role in attracting new business, complementing EFG's strong word-of-mouth referral base, which accounts for 90% of its business. Winning five awards and being a finalist in two more within a three-month period has definitely generated excitement and new clients are coming to him already feeling confident in the firm's credibility.
The award recognition has also extended to the banking sector, with Sab recently receiving an ANZ award for brokers of excellence, placing him in the top 50 out of approximately 10,000 brokers in Victoria. This external validation from industry peers and clients alike reinforces EFG's strong market position and people in the lending industry are taking note.

Message from the Client
"It does boost my ego... but again, it gives me the comfort as well that I'm doing the right things. This is the testament that yes, the work we are doing is legitimate. We're doing the right thing by us and by the client and it's a win-win situation."
"Going for awards at first was daunting, but I figured we don't think small, think big. Often I tell people, don't be scared, don't be afraid of taking action. You don't know what's going to happen... you can't predict till the time you act on it. You have to act to get the result. When you're in the safe zone, you will not grow. You're in a very small area and when you see the world it's vast. Being recognised on a world stage has been incredibly rewarding for us, winning multiple awards and also just being finalists has helped us grow awareness."
"My approach to providing client-first customer service is all about treating people the way you would like to be treated yourself. Proactiveness has been the main essence... If something is on my desk, I don't feel very comfortable about it. I just need to get it over the line. It's great to be recognised for doing something that comes directly from our ethos"
"Awards have also helped us attract and retain the right sorts of clients. Those who are just looking for a better deal on an interest rate are not our ideal clients. I’m upfront because I don't want them to leave me after 6 months if they get another .05 cheaper somewhere else because that's a loss to me, that's a loss to them as well. So, the awards and recognition that comes with them has helped us avoid getting into that cycle and just focus on long-term clients who can actually refer me more business and I can give them the support they want for their goal achievements as well."
"You can't do everything by yourself, so try and delegate to the other experts in the market. That’s why we partnered with The Audacious Agency and you’ve done an incredible job at helping us build a profile as a new service provider. We are getting noticed and it’s great."
